Ukkarisida Akki Rotti
Ingredients:
- Rice flour - 2 cups
- Water - 3 cups
- Green chilly - 8-10
- Coriender leaves - few
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
Method :
- Grind green chillies and coriender leaves coarsely.
- Boil three cups of water in a thick bottom vessel, add the above ground paste and little asafoetida, salt to taste and stir well.
- When the water is boiling ,simmer the flame and add two cups of rice flour.Do not mix it immediately.
- After half minute, start stirring the rice flour continuously to prepare the dough.Now turn off the flame.
- Let the mixture cool slightly.Now knead the dough until its smooth.
- Now take a lime sized ball of dough , press it using a rotti maker or roll it like chapthi and put it on hot tawa.Cook both sides until brown spots are seen on roti.
- Serve hot ukkarisida akki rotti with ghee (or butter), coconut chutney,brinjal palya or ennegayi or brinjal chutney.
