Ingredients:

  1. Rice flour - 2 cups
  2. Water - 3 cups
  3. Green chilly - 8-10
  4. Coriender leaves - few
  5. Jeera - 1 tsp
  6. Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
  7. Salt to taste

Method :

  1. Grind green chillies and coriender leaves coarsely.
  2. Boil three cups of water in a thick bottom vessel, add the above ground paste and little asafoetida, salt to taste and stir well.
  3. When the water is boiling ,simmer the flame and add two cups of rice flour.Do not mix it immediately.
  4. After half minute, start stirring the rice flour continuously to prepare the dough.Now turn off the flame.
  5. Let the mixture cool slightly.Now knead the dough until its smooth.
  6. Now take a lime sized ball of dough , press it using a rotti maker or roll it like chapthi and put it on hot tawa.Cook both sides until brown spots are seen on roti.
  7. Serve hot ukkarisida akki rotti with ghee (or butter), coconut chutney,brinjal palya or ennegayi or brinjal chutney.
